About

Originally IndiKit was developed by the Czech organization People in Need (PIN). It aims to make monitoring and evaluation (M&E) of relief and development interventions easier and better - by helping humanitarian and development workers to use well-formulated project indicators and to correctly collect and analyse the data required for each indicator.

Based on the original indikit, ZOA has developed a customized version with focus on ZOA's way of working with the ZOA strategic priorities (Climate Resilience, Localisation, Peace Nexus), Gender, Diversity and Inclusion as cross-cutting theme, and the ZOA sectors: WASH (including IWRM), Peace Building (including Land Rights), Food Security and Livelihoods, Shelter and CVA as cross-cutting modality.

ZOA does not intend to cover an exhaustive list of indicators - its primary focus is on those indicators that are recommended to use within each of ZOA's themes or sectors. ZOA has done its best to ensure that this guidance is methodologically correct, useful, and concise. However, keep in mind that the proposed guidance cannot be valid in all contexts – you always need to adapt it to the local realities.

Everyone is invited to propose new indicators, improve the existing ones and share the key lessons gained when using different indicators.
