Indicator Phrasing

English: % of projects that utilize a gender, inclusion or power analysis.

French: % de projets qui utilisent une analyse de genre, d'inclusion ou de pouvoir.

What is its purpose?

Measure the relative number of project that use the input of an analysis related to GDI. The indicator value must be reported in the Quarterly Country Report.

How to Collect and Analyse the Required Data

  1. Count the number of active projects on the last day of the quarter.
  2. How many of these projects are based on a gender, inclusion or power analysis?
  3. Calculate the indicator value: [number of projects based on a gender, inclusion or power analysis] / [total number of active projects] * 100%

Important Comments

  • No manual is available yet, but the analysis could be a stand-alone gender, inclusion or power analysis or an analysis integrated into already planned assessments (e.g. sectoral)
  • As part of the analysis the differences among different target groups (e.g. men, women, girls, boys, youth, disabled persons, IDP’s, refugees, host communities, religious or ethnic groups and so on) in terms of their relative position in society and the distribution of resources, opportunities, constraints and power are intentionally being assessed within the given context.
  • The results of the analysis are being used for the design of interventions that address the differentiated needs of target groups and, where possible, contribute to reducing inequalities.
